The biggest AI summits in the world, ranked by attendance

This table ranks the largest AI summits and conferences by the most recent attendance figures reported by organisers or independent audits. Some, like CES and Web Summit, are broad technology events where AI now dominates the agenda; others are dedicated AI summits. We note which is which so you can compare like with like.

Note: GITEX Global in Dubai is even larger (200,000+ attendees), but it is a broad technology trade show rather than an AI summit, so it sits outside this ranking as context. Attendance figures evolve each edition; treat them as orders of magnitude, not exact counts.

How we ranked the largest AI summits

There is no single official league table of AI events, so we used a consistent, transparent method. We ranked by most recently reported total attendance, drawing on organiser figures and independent audits where available (for example, CES attendance is audited annually by the Consumer Technology Association). We then separated three categories so the comparison stays fair:

• Mega-scale technology shows where AI is now the headline theme but not the only one, such as CES (organised by the Consumer Technology Association) and Web Summit.
• Dedicated AI summits built specifically around artificial intelligence, such as World Summit AI, Ai4, SuperAI and AI Summit Barcelona.
• Research and academic conferences such as NeurIPS, which are smaller in raw numbers but enormously influential.

Size is not the same as relevance. A 141,000-person trade show and a 10,000-person AI summit serve very different goals, which is why we explain each category below.

Mega-scale tech shows where AI dominates

The biggest AI events by raw headcount are not dedicated AI conferences at all, they are giant technology shows that AI has taken over.

CES, Las Vegas, the largest of all

CES 2025 drew around 141,000 attendees from across the globe, with a large share travelling internationally, according to figures from the Consumer Technology Association. Once a consumer-electronics fair, CES is now arguably the world's biggest AI showcase, with AI woven through almost every keynote, product launch and exhibit hall — and chipmakers such as NVIDIA headlining.

Web Summit, Lisbon, Europe's largest tech gathering

Web Summit 2025 in Lisbon welcomed 71,386 attendees from 157 countries, alongside thousands of startups and investors. It is not an AI-only event, but AI was the defining theme, making it the largest technology conference in Europe and one of the biggest in the world.

The biggest dedicated AI summits

If you want events built specifically around artificial intelligence, this is the tier that matters most. These are the biggest AI summits in the world by purpose, not just by headcount.

NVIDIA GTC, San Jose

GTC 2025 brought over 25,000 attendees to San Jose, plus millions online. Built around NVIDIA's GPU and AI platforms, GTC sets the technical pace for the year and is the single largest dedicated AI and accelerated-computing conference.

World Summit AI, Amsterdam

A long-running flagship of the European AI calendar, World Summit AI in Amsterdam draws 10,000+ attendees, with hundreds of speakers and a deep enterprise and research audience.

AI Summit Barcelona

AI Summit Barcelona takes place each September at WTC Barcelona, with AI Week side events across the city. It expects 10,000+ attendees, 200+ speakers and ten stages, positioning it as Europe's leading dedicated AI summit. See the full AI Summit Europe guide for context.

SuperAI, Ai4 and RAISE

• SuperAI (Singapore) gathers 10,000+ attendees, anchoring the Asia-Pacific AI calendar.
• Ai4 (Las Vegas) reached roughly 8,000 attendees and bills itself as North America's largest dedicated AI industry event.
• RAISE Summit (Paris) draws 9,000+ attendees, heavily weighted toward C-level and founder audiences.
• The AI Summit series (London and New York) each welcomes 5,000+ attendees, focused on commercial and enterprise AI.

The biggest AI research conferences

Raw attendance undersells the influence of academic AI conferences. NeurIPS, the field's most prestigious research gathering, recorded around 16,000 in-person attendees in 2024 (nearly 20,000 registrations including virtual), and demand now outstrips capacity so sharply that organisers have used lotteries to allocate places. ICML and CVPR sit in a similar tier. These are where the breakthroughs that later fill commercial summits are first published.

Where Europe's biggest AI summits fit

Among the global heavyweights, Europe punches well above its weight. Web Summit (Lisbon) leads on raw scale, while World Summit AI (Amsterdam) and AI Summit Barcelona are the largest dedicated AI summits on the continent, each in the 10,000+ range, supported by RAISE in Paris and The AI Summit in London.
