The phrase biggest AI summit in the world can describe several different things: a technology trade show with substantial AI programming, a dedicated industry summit, a developer conference or an academic meeting.

The figures below concern 2025 editions of broad technology events. The table is ordered by the quoted number, but definitions and verification differ; it is not a complete ranking of every global AI event.

These totals do not tell you how many people attended AI sessions, worked in AI or were available for a particular meeting. They describe the whole event. Check unique-person and visit definitions when comparing an exhibition held over several days with a conference.
Keep planned attendance separate
NVIDIA’s 5 March 2025 announcement for GTC forecast 25,000 attendees in person and 300,000 virtually. It was published before the event.
That is an example of a planning statement, not a post-event audit. The online forecast should not be added to the in-person audience and compared with another event’s on-site result.
Apply the same rule to any event target. A future audience promise is useful planning context only when labelled clearly. It is not evidence that an event has already become the largest in its category.
