Biography
Oriol is Founding Partner of Plus Partners, a leading pre-seed/seed fund for Southern Europe.
Prior to Plus Partners, Oriol co-founded ESC Venture Capital (formerly Encomenda Smart Capital), backing 40 startups, including Cobee (top B2B exit in 2024 in Southern Europe), Amphora, Remitee,… This fund is in divestment, and it is in the top 10% funds in terms of DPI in Europe.
Earlier, he was CFO, early employee and shareholder at Carto, helping raise funds from Earlybird, Accel and Insight. Whilst at Carto, he also invested as a BA in over 20 companies like Holded (top B2B exit in 2021 in Southern Europe).
He was also Investment Director at Nauta Capital, one of the pioneering VCs in Southern Europe.
Earlier he co-founded White Peak Partners, a tech-focused M&A boutique in London and worked in investment banking in London with Bank of America Merrill Lynch and BNP Paribas for 8 years.
