Biography
Laurence Nguyen works at the intersection of leadership and AI transformation, on the premise that technology alone doesn't transform organizations - people do. Within Mercuri Urval's Global Digital & Transformation Practice, she advises boards and senior leaders on executive search, leadership strategy, and leadership assessment, using a science-based methodology deployed across more than 60 countries.
Alongside this, she runs her own executive coaching and consulting practice, supporting founders and organizations through leadership development, executive transitions, and organizational transformation. Her approach draws on a decade of entrepreneurial experience spanning consulting, film production, and social impact - she describes her method as pattern-spotting across disciplines and cultures rather than framework-first, translating what she observes into decisions leaders can act on.
Her core lens on AI: helping leaders navigate AI-driven transformation while keeping the human dimension at the center, rather than treating the technology as the transformation itself.

Keynote 34 - Beyond Upskilling: Rebuilding Identity in the Age of AI
Wednesday 23 September, 10:20 – 10:35Auditorium StageEveryone talks about the exponential curve of AI. Almost no one talks about the flat line next to it: the human capacity to adapt. That gap is already splitting organizations into two populations and triggering something deeper than a skills shortage: an identity crisis. Fear, loss of bearings, resistance as a survival reflex. Upskilling won't fix this. You can't train your way out of an identity transition. This keynote introduces The Soft Architecture: an experimental approach for rebuilding professional identity in a transition no one has a map for. If you lead people through change, this is a different kind of conversation.
