Biography

Martin C. Syms is a Managing Director and the International Head of BlackRock’s Aladdin Engineering Group. He is responsible for the strategic delivery of Aladdin across EMEA and APAC and represents Aladdin Engineering with Aladdin clients, BlackRock Asset Management clients, and regulators.

He also plays a strategic advisory role in the development of global technology talent. He has been with the firm since 2000, including his tenure at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, and has extensive experience leading global engineering organizations and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
