Biography
Carlos Varea is CEO of Datision, a Catalan company specialised in artificial intelligence applied to the optimisation of industrial processes. He has more than 15 years of experience leading digital transformation strategies and high-impact projects in complex production environments, and combines commercial judgement with technical depth to turn operational data into measurable advantage.
His current focus is scalable AI solutions that improve efficiency, planning and decision-making on the factory floor, including work through Datision's spin-off MESAI on plug-and-play industrial AI. He is an active voice in the Catalan AI ecosystem, contributing to Digital Catalonia Alliance programmes and executive training on how companies should assess and sequence AI adoption.
His perspective is especially relevant for audiences interested in industrial AI, manufacturing efficiency, and how established production companies move from proof of concept to deployed systems.
