Biography
Antonio Melé is co-founder and CTO of Orbio, the Madrid-based AI-native platform that automates hiring, onboarding and workforce management for enterprises with large frontline teams. He leads the engineering behind Orbio's agent suite, which handles talent acquisition, automated text and voice interviews, onboarding and retention tracking across Europe, the US and Latin America.
Before Orbio he founded and served as CTO of Nucoro, a B2B wealth-management platform acquired by Backbase, and earlier co-founded Exo. He is a long-standing figure in the Python and Django community and the author of a widely used book on building applications with Django.
Orbio raised an €18.09 million Series A led by Dawn Capital in June 2026, with participation from Visionaries Club, bringing total funding to roughly $28 million. Antonio's perspective is grounded in what actually breaks when agent systems are deployed against real workforce operations at enterprise scale.
