In this talk, we map the spectrum of what AI voice conversations can actually be. I draw on three real experiments from my own world: a Second Brain agent designed to surface knowledge in a 10-minute walk, a Carl Jung-inspired philosophical companion built on ElevenLabs, exploring what depth and genuine curiosity feel like in a machine; and a real-world onboarding case that tested what happens when voice agents meet high-stakes human moments. Together, these cases build a framework for thinking about conversation quality not just accuracy or speed, but presence, specificity, and the feeling that something actually understood you.
