Biography
Fran Baker leads Social Impact & Innovation at Arm, the semiconductor and software design company, where her work focuses on extending the benefits of technology to people and regions not currently prioritized by the tech industry. She works with impact partners worldwide — from social entrepreneurs to global organizations — to deliver inclusive innovation strategies where technology can play a role.
She holds an MSt from the University of Cambridge in AI Ethics and Society, awarded with distinction for her research on the sustainability of AI, and is a Bye-Fellow at St Edmund's College, Cambridge. In 2020 she was named the United Nations Global Compact SDG Pioneer for the UK, and in 2022 was selected as one of twenty Global Fellows through the League of Intrapreneurs. In 2024 she was a finalist for the Everywoman in Technology "Tech for Good" award and was named to the "100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics" list.
