Alberto Almeida is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at dLocal, where he leads the global technology organization behind a large-scale payments and data platform used by global merchants in high-growth markets. Based in Spain, he defines dLocal’s technology and AI strategy and oversees the reliability, scalability, and security of mission-critical payment systems.
Alberto and his teams apply AI and data-driven decisioning across fraud detection, risk, operations, and developer productivity, always with a focus on real-world impact rather than hype. He has deep experience building resilient, compliant systems in regulated, high-availability environments.
